A Professional's Creed

- I will be honest to my managers, clients and my team members regarding status of projects, requirements and so on.
- I will never give estimates to my client or managers that I cannot honestly support.
- I will not estimate or make commitments for other professionals without full and prior consultation with them.
- I will not agree to impossible requirements without fully ex plaining the risks and other issues involved and documenting them for the clients or manager.
- I respect my client's rights to change requirements, deadlines, etc.
- My client respects my right to re-negotiate costs, schedules, resources and quality upon their changing of requirements.
- I will never say "No problems" or "No worries" or similar "Don't you worry about that" type statements again.
- I have the professional right to say "No" with full explanations without recriminations.
- I have the professional right to say "Yes" with full explanations of costs, impact and so on.
- I will record my work and task effort honestly.
- I will endeavour to treat my clients as professionals even if they don't treat me the same way.
